Your personal information will be treated carefully. These are used only to provide you with the best possible service. The data is not sold, traded or shared with third parties.

The Sacred Voyage adheres to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the Netherlands. This privacy statement applies when you visit this website, when you request information and when you use our services.

Your data is confidential and can only be viewed by and processed by (employees of) The Sacred Voyage. Administrative data (as stated on invoices, for example) can be shared with an external administrative office.

If you register via the registration form website, register via mail or webshop, you automatically give permission for the use of personal data necessary for participating in a retreat or training / workshop weekend. In all cases we comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation.

This means that we at least:

• Process your personal data in accordance with the purpose for which it was provided. These purposes and type of personal data are described in this privacy statement.
• Processing of your personal data is limited to only those data that are at least necessary for the purposes for which they are processed.
• We will ask you for permission in advance if we need it in accordance with the Privacy Act for the processing of your personal data.
• Have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal data.
• Do not pass on personal data to other parties, unless this is necessary for the execution of the purposes for which they were provided.

Processing of participants' personal data

 

Personal data of participants are processed by The Sacred Voyage for the following purpose (s):

 

o Participation in the activities of The Sacred Voyage.

o Giving advice regarding participation in these activities.

o If you have registered for this yourself: sending our e-books and newsletter.

o Administrative purposes, such as sending confirmation emails and information messages regarding participation in The Sacred Voyage activities and making invoices.

o Date of birth

o Medical information to the extent relevant for participating in our medicine plant ceremonies and Sacred Breath retreats.

o Information about your experience with medicinal plants and other mind-altering substances

o Information about your use of mind-altering drugs in the period surrounding your participation in a ceremony or retreat

o Your motivation for participating in a ceremony or retreat

 

Your personal data is stored by us for the above processing (s).

Provision to third parties

We can provide the data you provide to us to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of the purposes described above.

For example, we use a third party for:

• Guiding the ceremonies. Only the attendants who are present at a certain ceremony receive information from the participants in advance (name, age, experience and motivation only). They will remove this information as soon as possible after the ceremony.
• Taking care of parts of the financial administration. Our trust office has insight into our financial data, such as bank statements.
• Maintaining and where necessary expanding / repairing our website. The web developer has access to all information stored in the database.

 

We make the necessary agreements with these parties (processors) to guarantee the security of your personal data. Furthermore, we will not provide the information you provide to other parties, unless this is legally required and permitted. An example of this is that the police may request (personal) data from us in the context of an investigation. In such a case, we must cooperate and are therefore obliged to provide this information.

 

Retention period

The Sacred Voyage does not store personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was provided, or required by law.

 

 

Security

We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unlawful processing. For example, the following measures have been taken:

• All persons who can access your data on behalf of The Sacred Voyage are bound by confidentiality.
• We have a username and password policy on all our systems.
• Our IT resources are up to date and secured.
• We make backups of the personal data in order to be able to restore them in the event of physical or technical incidents.
• Our employees have been informed about the importance of protecting personal data.

 

Rights regarding your data

You can object to the processing of your personal data by us or by one of our processors.

You have the right to request at any time your data that is recorded and stored at The Sacred Voyage. You do this by sending an email or contacting us by phone. You will then receive an overview of your data.

You can also request the removal of personal data. This with the exception of data that we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes (eg billing information and drug plant statements).
